Amherst

We arrived in Amherst Monday morning after a very rainy drive north from New York.  After dropping off the car at our local mechanic for a quick check up, we hung out at Mike's parents house and made a nice home-cooked meal.  That evening we had a pleasant visit at a family friends' house.

Tuesday morning we picked up our moving truck and by the early afternoon we had it packed full of all our boxes we had shipped home as well as some furniture from family in the area.

Tuesday evening we had another homecooked meal with Mike's parents and aunt Betsy, and then drove to Northampton to have some Herrell's ice cream. Yum!

We've had a relaxing time in Amherst and have gone on some nice walks with Barley (the dog).  Tomorrow we head towards Boston to pick up some more family furniture from Mike's cousin Debbie and her husband Lucien, meet up with brother David, and then head north to Portland!
