This morning we got in touch with our country side and visited the Country Music Hall of Fame in downtown Nashville.
For lunch we ventured to Monell's for a communal family style meal of fried chicken, biscuits and gravy, all the sides, and of course lots of sweet tea.
Then this afternoon we went to the Narrows of the Harpeth state park for a refreshing swim and views from an outlook. The woods were lush and humid and full of the sound of crickets. It was a great summer day.
We're headed out tomorrow to eastern Tennessee and into Eastern Standard Time!
