Blue Ridge Parkway

Today we drove from Tennessee down to Asheville, NC.  We walked around the town a bit, and even ran into a friend of ours from Skidmore!  We ate a good lunch and then headed out to the Blue Ridge Parkway, towards a waterfall that Ben and Miriam had suggested.  The parkway was beautiful and very fun to drive on.  We did the short hike to the waterfall and spent a few hours swimming and hanging out watching some other people jump in from the rocks above the water.

Once done swimming, we got back to the car and headed east to Charlotte, arriving at Charlie and Kasha's house in time for a good cajun-themed dinner in their neighborhood.  After dinner we stopped in at a neighbor's house to chat and watch some of the Sox/Yankees game before heading back home to bed.
