On Thursday we arrived in Washington DC, and met up with Mike's cousin Laura at her house in Vienna. The three of us took the Metro to the White House and met up with Laura's husband Daniel who works a few blocks away.
We had some great falafel for dinner and then journeyed out to see the monuments at night.
The next morning we woke up and went to the Smithsonian Museum of American History. For lunch we met up with Maeve's friend Galina and ate at Truckaroo, an awesome food-truck extravaganza.
We then spent an hour or two in the Natural History Museum before heading home for a Shabbat dinner with Laura and Daniel.
It was great to see Galina, Laura and Daniel, and our nation's capital!
